Ingredients :
Ragi Flour - 1 1/2 cup
Black gram (Urad Dal/Uzhunnu) - 1/2 cup
Salt - as needed
ghee/oil - as needed to grease on vessel
Method of Preparation :
- Soak the Black gram for atleast 4-5 hours before grinding. (If you are using ragi grains instead of Ragi flour, soak it also for the same hours but in separate vessel)
- Grind the Black gram until it is smooth. Grind the ragi grains separately.
- Mix the black gram paste with ragi flour or ragi grain paste. You may add water if you need to get the consistency of Dosa.
- Keep the mixed batter aside for fermentation overnight. It may take 10-12 hours. (If may not ferment during winter, so in winter you have to keep it in oven with its light on)
- The next day morning, you make may add salt as per taste.
- Greece the dosa pan with ghee or oil. Make Dosa.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or any of your favourite chutneys.
